Base product for making Kimchee from. US Review: “One jar made two batches of great kim chee. The lack of recipe or instructions is excused by the fact that there is no set way to make kim chee. I soaked 4 lbs cut bok choy and 4 lbs turnips in brine over night (½+ cup sea salt in enough water to cover each). Rinsed both well and mixed in ⅔ jar with the bok choy and ⅓ with turnips. The turnips could have used more. ½ and ½ would have been better, both were good. I was interested to see this base was made in Japan, which is where I was introduced to kim chee. They know their kim chee there as well as the Koreans.”
